Case Study:
Westgate River Ranch is nestled on 1,700 beautiful acres in Central Florida. This particular Westgate location provides glamping and fun adventure to all ages on a “Dude Ranch” setting. Westgate was looking for another layer of thrilling activities to offer on the property. The executive staff from Westgate contacted our design team for help on how to enhance the dude ranch experience. Extreme Engineering, working previously with luxury brand resorts, knew that Westgate would be in need of blending entertainment and luxury together. Westgate expressed that their live rodeo show had plenty of space, near the entry gate, and it felt as if stadium was not entirely complete. Our team immediately got work, creating a western themed adventure park with ziplines going over an old stage coaches to a climbing wall painted in desert sandstone with fossils. We themed the adventure park to blend in with surrounding livestock and stables. Using reclaimed picket fences, brown and tan colors and local landscaping, the adventure park tastefully blended in with the rodeo’ entry gate and surrounding area.
Extreme Engineering placed three major attractions in the adventure area, giving Westgate a manageable park, requiring minimal staffing for operations. Each ride has a very fast cycle time, meeting high capacity demands during their busy weekends. The adventure park has been so successful that they opened it to the general public and not just guests staying at the ranch.
