Extreme Engineering is thrilled to announce its all-new Cloud Coaster Storm suspended coaster. The Cloud Coaster Storm provides twice the speed, thrills and capacity with a new and improved roller coaster track and side by side ride vehicle. No more riding solo as guests sit together, soaring at thrilling speeds above landscapes below. Extreme Engineering’s new Poseidon roller coaster track is designed to provide more aggressive configurations, allowing for higher speeds, sharper turns and steeper drops.

“No more riding solo,” states Phil Wilson, Executive Vice President with Extreme Engineering. “Family experiences are meant to be shared. Our Cloud Coaster Storm allows for guests to ride together on the new side-by-side ride vehicle.” Extreme Engineering’s latest coaster uses enhanced technology from the award winning Cloud Coaster design. The all new track, ride vehicle and improved rider management system allows for a more thrilling, faster ride that provides higher capacities. Depending on the track layout’s configuration, the Cloud Coaster Storm can achieve up to 700 people an hour.

The Cloud Coaster Storm allows you to choose your experience on the fly with incredible theming. The suspended coaster can fully immerse guests, soaring them high above the sky into unique worlds. Optional lighting and sound are also available within the ride vehicle’s design. “The Cloud Coaster Storm is incredibly versatile. It can be configured as a suspended dark ride, people mover or interactive coaster. We are already working with industry partners, scaling the coaster for their specific needs,” says Wilson.

The Cloud Coaster Storm uses patented technology making this coaster extremely lightweight, fast and low on power consumption. With sustainability in mind, the patented passive breaking system, trolley and ride vehicle are all designed to keep maintenance and operational costs at an all-time low. “We are excited to offer the latest coaster design from Extreme Engineering to the industry. It has been over a year in the design phase, including gathering great feedback from our customers,” states Wilson.
